"Towards Employment showed me that I couldn’t give up. If an employer doesn’t call me, I call them and let them know that I really want this job."
We are the only organization in Cuyahoga County with a focus on providing for the discrete needs of individuals who are completing a training program or starting or keeping a job. Services include, but are not limited to, uniforms, work boots or shoes, tools or eyeglasses.

Welcome

Employers identify “soft skills” or “life skills,” such as managing childcare and transportation issues or possessing time management and goal setting skills, as key to employee job success and retention, but many newly hired employees lack these critical skills. Towards Employment has developed life skills curriculum and classes around many subjects, including problem solving, stress management and developing leadership skills that work to ensure an employee can manage their work/life challenges while on the job. Our life skills workshops are a critical part of our highly successful job readiness, placement and retention programs. In addition, we partner with other training programs and employers to provide life skills workshops for their training participants and employees. All rate the life skills workshops as excellent and critical to the success of the individuals participating in the classes.

Please contact Lynne Perry, training coordinator, by calling (216) 696-5750 or lperry@towardsemployment.org to learn more about our life skills training and how it can benefit your organization. We customize the curriculum for each workshop or series of workshops to fit our customer’s needs, time, budget and location desires or limitations.
