Towards Employment works with employers, industry clusters and industry associations to identify which jobs are in demand, pay a decent wage and offer opportunities for advancement. With this information, TE designs a menu of career pathway services.

Career pathway options vary based on a student’s starting point and can include academic remediation, technical skills training, career exploration, job shadowing, and mentoring. Our four occupational pathway programs help participants understand job expectations, training requirements, advancement opportunities, and the wage progression of each career. Each participant builds a Personal Career Map (PCM), outlining the steps required to move ahead on their chosen career pathway.

Customized one-on-one coaching, case management, and longer term access to supportive and legal services support industry pathways in the following fields

  • Health care
  • Manufacturing
