Towards Employment seeks mentors for Pathways to Work, funded by the Department of Labor.

Mentors guide, support and inspire participants; they help individuals develop the necessary attitudes and skills to obtain personal and professional success.

Pathways to Work connects reentering citizens to skills training and jobs that provide opportunity for career growth, including targeted occupations in the manufacturing, hospitality and culinary arts, and construction fields. Mentorships are one part of a continuum of services that include proven practices in work readiness, skill building and work experience opportunities. Because reentering citizens have varied and complex barriers to employment, mentors are needed to provide additional support, advice and encouragement beyond staff support.Mentorships are life changing, for both the mentor and mentee.
